Comments
1. Sheet G-001: Per IBC (2006) 1004.1, the calculated occupant load is 90 and must be used for the code analysis. It is greater than 50, thus the use remains A2 and there is no change in use. Non-separated uses require a 2 hour separation between A and M. The occupant load also requires two exits, which already exist. Please clarify and correct the code analysis to confirm.
2. Sheet I-111: Response comment #1 states "existing building elements are not rated. The demising walls will be renovated by the landlord to achieve a 1 hour fire rating." As stated above, non-separated uses in a non-sprinklered building require a 2 hour separation between A and M, per IBC (2006) 508.3.4.
