Sheet E0002 of the drawings includes a lighting schedule, an exterior lighting COMcheck and lighting plans. There are several energy code compliance issues with the permit submission that are present in the sheet. First, a seperate interior lighting COMcheck is required in addition to the exterior lighting COMcheck on a full size sheet in the drawings to show that the interior areas (restrooms, stairwells) that are part of the scope of the project meet the requirements of section CC405.5.2. Second, the submitted exterior COMcheck is not complete, it is missing the name, signature, and date of the designer. This is also required for the interior COMcheck that has not yet been submitted. Third, the lighting fixture schedule indicates that several fixtures, such as L4, have a high total fixture input power (8.8 Watts) than what is present in the Exterior Lighting COMcheck (8 Watts). Round to the nearest whole Watt. Fourth, the fixture labels in the Exterior Lighting COMcheck are not coordinated with the drawings. For example "Incandescent 1" does not appear in the light fixture schedule. However, fixture "EX1" appears to be the same fixture. In the resubmission, label all fixtures in the COMchecks according to how they are labeled in the lighting schedule and the drawings. Fifth, the count for the number of fixtures in the Exterior lighting COMcheck does not appear to accurately reflect the design. For example there are 9 fixture types EX1 (100W Incandescent) but the COMcheck only shows 7 of these fixtures. In the resubmission carefully count the number of fixtures in the design and include all of them in the COMchecks. |
