Sheet A-101.00 Construction Plan: Box 1 on the Accessibility Compliance Form is checked. 5 % of both men's and women's toilets/ toilet compartments are required to accessible. The new accessible ADA toilet room only provides for one men's or women's, therefore one of the existing toilets would have to be accessible. The current layout of the existing toilet rooms does not appear to provide the required toe space at compartments with walls to the floor, compartment door maneuvering clearances and/or doors in series. You may want to look at VEBC 404.4.10 or use the new ADA toilet room as one of the men's or women's and change the ADA form to box 4 and show a path for compliance as upgrades. Bear in mind the new toilet room is required to be accessible and would not count as an upgrade. Also is the employee toilet room accessible?
